Back in my earlier days, the days of knowing just what you were going to be doing from 8:00AM-2:52PM, Monday-Friday, September-June, I had a dream. A goal. It was one that seemed pretty unrealistic at the time, but ignored that part and kept telling myself, “one day, one day…” In my high school days I was a huge car buff, but not a NASCAR and drag racing buff. I was all about the stuff few watched, or even knew about. World Rally, Speed World Challenge, Australian V8’s, DTM…all the really good stuff that was all about cars you actually SEE on the street every day, and essentially, could own as well. While many of my friends and fellow classmates were dreaming of owning a NSX, Supra, and the rest of what everyone else and their mother wanted, I had a very different want and desire. My dream was a BMW M car, but not just a run of the mill M3 like everyone else, I dreamt of the get-down-to-business M5. Sure, i was only 17 and this $70k+ machine was slightly more than my under the table, $27 a day j-o-b at the time, but I just had to have it. It was then I made that promise to myself that at some point, I would own one of these timeless masterpieces. Something about this car just had me in awe, maybe it was the extreme and down played subtleness. Or the 400HP V8 that snarled like an unidentified predator of the wild. Then again, it could have been the pure classiness that it brought to the table. Or even the fact that this brute and luxurious CEO driving machine was powered by a manual transmission. Whatever it was that caught my eye, never left. I even painted up a 1/10 scale replica of one and set it aside for the day I had a 1/1 version of my own. I have secretly been on the hunt for the perfect E39 M5 for the last decade and some. That hunt finally came to an end…a fairy tale kind of end. The Alpine White M5 that I dreamt of over ten years ago, along with that self-made promise made to myself has come to fruition at last. Was it worth the wait? HELL YES. Would I do it all over again? Nope, I would make it happen sooner this time around. -///M

I love VW’s. I love Audi’s. I especially love tastefully modified VW’s and Audi’s. I also love well constructed, high definition, wonderfully soundtrack’d and edited videos that make you go Oh.M.Gee. What happens when you combine all of these great things into one? This.

I work too hard to be ballin’ on a budget

Pretty sick song. Decoder (White Noise Remix) by Kodomo.

Best ten dollars purchase of the year? Most certainly.
Deep down inside, ok, maybe not that deep down inside, I am…a nerd. Albeit a semi-cool one though, I still reminisce of the days of playing Super Mario 3 and trying to score the frog suit, wanting to punch the TV while playing the first Ninja Turtles game, the days of Contra and Castlevania, the day I got my Sega Genesis and fell in love with Sonic, and of course my love for Grand Theft Auto, Twisted Metal and the game that changed it all, Gran Turismo. The iPhone, easily just as exciting – times ten.  I would not be able to survive without it; I couldn’t check my Facebook, receive emails at 2:00 AM, play Tiny Wings, view my itineraries and flight delays, and let my point and shoot collect dust as I carry my entire photo library with me at all times, just to name a few.
I love when I see cool things, and even better when they allow me to somewhat show my true colors, nerdy colors that is. When I came across this slick NES controller skin for my phone, the deal was done. It was like siting right in front of the TV, placing the gun on the glass and playing some Duck Hunt. And there you have it, my random story/bit of excitement for the month over my $9.99 + shipping purchase. Sold!
